Waist
Bend to one side while standing in front of a mirror. Locate where your body naturally creases - this is your natural waist. Bend to the other side and locate your natural waist on that side. Stand upright and relaxed, and measure completely around your natural waistline. Unless purchasing a suit or zip together pants and jacket, use of a belt is strongly recommended to prevent creep during riding.

Hip
For riding comfort, women's pants should be sized at her hips. Measure the total circumference at the hip's largest point with a cloth tape measure, keeping the tape parallel to the floor. Hip measurement should be slightly lose and relaxed to avoid pinching and discomfort.

Inseam
Inseam measurement is critical for proper fit of riding pants and chaps. Stand upright and relaxed while measuring the total length of the inside seam from your crotch to your ankle. Most riding pants are made slightly longer to allow proper ankle protection. Select an inseam that is typical of your usual clothing. Above ankle boots are strongly recommended for safety and comfort while riding in any conditions.

Women's boots and shoes.
Measure the length from both feet from the heal to the longest toe. Boots and shoes are sized in typical US measurements, however size may vary by manufacturer. Toe movement is important. Consider what socks you will wear for proper protection from the elements. Riding boots and shoes are primarily for protection while sitting. Comfort and movement are critical, and purchasing one-half size larger is recommended. Also, over ankle models are recommended for personal safety. If you usually wear a half size, and half sizes are not available , order the next size larger.

Measure the circumference around your dominate hand across your palm and just below your knuckles, without including your thumb. Gloves are primarily for protection and controlled grip, yet finger movement is critical for circulation. If you have long fingers or if the measured size of your hand is between sizes of the gloves that interest you, choose the size larger for a loose fit. Remember that the leather gloves break in and stretch slightly after some use.

Adult Helmets
Measure the largest portion of your head horizontally with a cloth tape, measuring approximately one inch above your eyebrows and ears. If your head size is between two helmet sizes, first try the smaller size. A correctly sized helmet should not be able to move from side to side and up and down with the chinstrap fastened for a safe fit. If it is not snug, try a size smaller. Consider purchasing other size cheek pads or helmet liner to improve fit. Some helmets are designed with exchangeable cheek pads and liners; allowing smaller cheek pads or liners, in a slightly larger helmet or visa versa.
